Setting up the satellite sos on iPhone 14 pro

I had the same issue, when I clicked the link on that “upgrade security message” it took me to my Apple ID in settings. After a lot of messing around I found that if you tap Sign-in & Security then Account Recovery it will ask you for your iPhone passcode and gives a message saying that it’s upgrading your your Apple ID. When I next went it to Find My the message has gone. Hope it helps!

Considering its available in the US and all iphone 14's in the US only have esim, the Verizon rep is wrong.

Assuming that you are in a supported region … you can TEST your Satellite connection by running the demo at:

Settings -> Emergency SOS -> Try Demo

No U.S. market iPhone14s have nanoSIM slots.

Something else is the cause.

I also have an iPhone 14 Pro (using iOS 16.5).

Like you, I took these steps:

1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone 14.
2. Tap on the Me tab.
3. Swipe up to see "My Location via Satellite,"

Here is what I saw:

An eSIM is a “real” SIM.
