Why Apple weather app is inaccurate

The Apple weather app give a wrong and inaccurate information about the weather in my city. So I have to use a 3rd party app to get a right information. Hopefully the Apple company know about it and fix it in a next updates!

Actually, right in the Weather app is the best place to report the inaccuracy where it says "Report an Issue". When you tap on that, you describe the current conditions, and that along with your anonymized location is sent to Apple so they can figure out what data source is currently being used there and better understand the inaccuracy. At least that is the intent so they can get the real time data. That is not going to be possible on the reportaproblem website.

This. Apple weather forecasts for Honolulu in the summer have generally been about 3-8F below the NWS for highs and lows (surprisingly this is the first week I’ve seen in years where the highs are similar to the experts’ but lows still predict much cooler evenings than one experiences). Weather channel often has same problem. The current weather is pretty accurate here though, so every day one can see juxtaposed “H: 83, Current: 88”

Mine is off by 9°. It’s 66 right now and stock weather app is showing 75°. I’ve checked weather.com and google weather and both are showing 65° & 66°. Isn’t apples stock weather app ran by weather.com?  Why is it so inaccurate? I’ve also noticed the forecast and current weather on the widget shows different from the “my location” which shows different from the city I’ve saved on the app. And they’re all the same city/zip. My brother and I were sitting right next to each other one day and both looked at the weather for his area with our respective phones. Again both Apple apps reading different current and forecasted weather. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Common apple.

Apple weather is SO

off base most of the time.,.and extremely inaccurate per local temps (many times at least 10

degrees or more.

time to ditch the useless Apple weather app unless apple cares enough to report real temps and conditions!

Radar mapping somewhat helpful but left to phone user to interrupt… because most often temps are stuck at forecast rather than real

time. At least up to date on precipitation which we already know because we are experiencing it!

Apple… wake up… ditch your outmoded algorithms that do NOT universally apply and pay attention to each geographical areas changing weather patterns

Or DROP your attempt at a weather app

Perhaps to check further into the actual unit reporting temperatures

in vicinity of Palmer AK, may show additional sub-units as primary..

This occurs when airport or other official station is also present & worthy.

As a long term resident of Alaska with keen awareness of Wx reports and

also find these 'errors' as actual report centers; yet not necessarily nearest.

South of Anchorage the weather may feature major new seasonal mixes..

from Asia, Arctic Ocean, Bering Sea, north Pacific; old Tropical Typhoons.

The federal NWS AK Region site has great local team to process details.

While they also might be off some miles; as major forecast features shift.

From about 1960, I've seen & heard some odd yet correct forecasts here.

Most AK areas rarely make their own weather; as this region is hyperactive.
