Text is in a foreign language

On my Mac Book Pro (M-2) the text that I have typed has all changed to a foreign language. I checked the Settings - General and it indicates English - US and I have restarted the computer twice. Are there any who may know the cause of this error and corrective action?

Why are my keyboard inputs, symbols not matching on MacBook? ~New MacBook Sequoia 15.3.1 It has a Spanish/Mexican keyboard but I set the language to US English and used Migration Assistant to transfer my files from my previous Mac. Please post a screen shot of what you are seeing.

The place to set the typing language is settings > general > keyboard > input sources. Make sure there is only one item on the list and that the name of that item is US or ABC.

Did you check System Preferences > Languages&Region, also Keyboard environment setting?
