I can no longer backup over Xfinity Wi-Fi. I've reset the network settings, reset the modem, and even got a new Xfinity modem. I keep getting an error message saying "The last backup could not be completed because of poor network conditions". The network conditions are not poor.

This started with getting a new gateway from Xfinity and the upgrade is it now has IPV6 with IPV4. The issue is not all IOS processes are IPV6 compatible and there is no way to disable IPV6 on Xfinity. The only work around is to get your own router that has this function and disable it until IOS does the update. This sucks but there’s no other way. 😔
According to Xfinity, it’ll be CGM4981COM_6.2p25s1_PROD_sey and it’s still being pushed out

Yes that’s what I have - and Xfinity confirmed mine was pushed out( strangely that’s same firmware I had )

what does Patch mean?
A "patch" is a temporary "fix".
is that part of the test group ?
Yes, the patch is the firmware that was sent out to the Reddit test group a few weeks ago. It is still working for me, but it sounds like the new firmware that they are rolling out will replace it.
I believe that is the correct version- other version with 6.3 was for people in test group - that’s what I read in prior post - and Reddit confirmed 6.2 was correct

Version 6.2 of the firmware was installed but no changes to any of the Apple problems. Not surprised. Didn’t try a modem reset. Too many active work connections going on.

I followed the directions in the Reddit post and I am now able to update my iPads. The only sour note is I finally gave in and ordered an Ethernet adapter yesterday.
The directions where you disable the 6 GHz band and go down to either 5 or 2.4? I haven't tried that yet.
