I can no longer backup over Xfinity Wi-Fi. I've reset the network settings, reset the modem, and even got a new Xfinity modem. I keep getting an error message saying "The last backup could not be completed because of poor network conditions". The network conditions are not poor.

This started with getting a new gateway from Xfinity and the upgrade is it now has IPV6 with IPV4. The issue is not all IOS processes are IPV6 compatible and there is no way to disable IPV6 on Xfinity. The only work around is to get your own router that has this function and disable it until IOS does the update. This sucks but there’s no other way. 😔
I have not reset mine either… just hoping I don’t have to before 9/5

Hello - I found this out today from Xfinity. They have escalated this issue for me so perhaps I will get it before 9/5-6/23. We shall see. So frustrating.
Lo and behold I was traveling and when I returned home I plugged everything in to charge and everything backed up on 5.0. Hope not a one shot deal.
How do I log into the router on a browser?
Hello. My backups are now working over wifi. As much updates are current I am going to assume that they will occur over wifi also. Thank you xfinity for correcting this issue!
I have two iPad mini 6. One, maybe a year older, doesn’t back up. The other is fine. Yes, we have xfinity
Thankfully all of my gadgets are backing up normally on 5.0 for over a week
Three weeks ago I upgraded my Xfinity router from XB7 to XB8 as Comcast suggested. That’s when we started having issues with iCloud backups and IOS updates. Today I went back to the Xfinity store and traded back to the XB7 after hours of communicating with Comcast and my Apple support. It’s back to the way it was, I am now able to do iCloud backups and IOS updates on both iPhones. Go figure!!!

Here is the latest. It seems like not all the specialists are on the same page but this Brian seems to be on top of it all. He found my other modmail threads and is going to educate them all on what is going on. He has added my account to the running tally he has. He said target date for the firmware to be out to everyone is 9/5.
By the way, I checked and we picked up the new XB8 router on May 11. We didn't start having problems with back ups and updates until Jun 27.
