Videos I shot on iPhone look terrible on my MacBook Pro

When I shoot videos on my iPhone, the exposure looks good. But when I view them through the "Photos" app on my MacBook Pro, or when I airdrop the video from my phone to my MBP and view it, the exposure is way off, and the highlights are all blown out

There is a clear indication that something is not quite right in this situation. It is highly probable that the complete story has not been presented, as you have not provided information about the specific iPhone model used or the camera settings employed.

My strong intuition suggests that the video in question was recorded using a third-party application on an iPhone or viewed through a third-party application on a Mac.
