Mac mini 2023 m2 32gb 2tb - Random ejecting of my back up disc-Silicon Power 2 TB in Minisopuru Hub

Mac mini 2023 m2 32gb 2tb - Random ejecting of my back up disc-Silicon Power 2 TB in Minisopuru Hub plus it works for several days and then ejects. I have tried the fixes mentioned on the web of Displays turned off and power savings settings. Nothing works. However, my old La Cie USB A drive stays connected.

Still having the eject problem with the Minisopuru hub designed specifically for the 2023 Mac Mini and I replaced the Silicon Power SSD with a Samsung 980 and had the same reject issue while trying to do a backup which was working in the beginning but ejected midway. Were these the correct settings to turn off? Screen shots below:

Disk ejected again per the compilation of screen shots below while backing up. The volume was erased and reformatted again and then reassigned as the back up disk. The screen never went to sleep. I am keeping this thread alive and returning the Minisopuru hub and will try another manufacturer type and let you know. However, if you spot something in my settings that are incorrect or any other ideas are welcome.

one thing to note with DIY SSDs and enclosures is to make sure that the SSD itself is compatible with the box you are plugging it into and also that the drive/box combination is compatible with the Mac you are using and the macOS version.

Not all drive/external box combinations are compatible with all computers. Some combos work on all computer while some combos will work only on Macs and others will only work with PCs. The issues can range from not working at all, slow operation, or sporadic issues such as you are seeing.

So, verify with the maker of the box you are using specifically states that this combo will work. If the manufacturer of the box does not specifically state that the SSD is compatible, you may need to try different SSD modules until you find one that works or buy a box that does specifically set a certain combination works.

In the Minisopuru I had the Samsung 980 PRO and it rejected at odd times during backup or transferring files. I returned the Minisopuru thru Amazon and now have the Sabrent single enclosure directly into the Mac Mini USB C connection with the supplied Sabrent cable with the Silicon Power SSD with all recommended settings turned off and it has worked as a backup drive for two days now with no random ejects.
