Unable to get into Bill Pay on iPad using Chrome OR Safari - after the steps below were taken -

Hello,

I am a Citizens Bank customer and I use their online banking system. I have tried everything I know to get into the "BILL PAY" section of my banking online account. When I hit "BILL PAY" it goes to a notice that says "this browser is not supported - please update your browser - ( it says this for BOTH browsers, CHrome and Safari).

I have an updated browser, I even bought a new iPad, to have the latest machine, I even went into settings on Chrome AND Safari and tapped on "Prevent Cross SIte Tacking - to turn it OFF.

Can anyone help me? I just don't get it. I had gone to the bank in person and they said my machine was too old - it was - but I'm now using a NEW one, and it is STILL doing the same thing.

At wit's end - any suggestions??

Thanks in advance,

Dan R

Some websites may incorrectly identify your iOS/iPadOS Safari User Agent when used in one or other of its browsing modes - of which their are two - these being Desktop and Mobile.

It’s easy to switch between modes if a website isn’t functioning correctly. From the desired web-page, touch the aA icon at the left of the Address Bar; this will reveal a menu. From the menu select Website Settings, then select (or deselect) Request Desktop Website, then tap Done. Now refresh the webpage.

The chosen setting will be saved for the selected website - and can be simply reversed if needed.

Due to iOS/iPadOS system requirements, other third-party browser Apps also have dependency upon Apple’s Webkit (this being the rendering engine) and may therefore also similarly misidentified.
