AirPods Pro acting up

So I been having an issue with my AirPod pros that have continually gotten worse, basically what’s going on is at time my AirPods case would seem like they are dead, but when I plug them into a charger they say 100% and act like normal, this was the beginning stage, now they don’t stay on unless they are plugged in but soemtimes they’ll stay on for a bit. When they are off even the AirPods themselves think they are off until I plug them in. Now even when I plug my case in and let them charger all my AirPods do is constantly pop up on my phone as if I had them open next to my phone and they even automatically connect to my phone randomly even when they aren’t connected to the charger which makes them drain faster because they are just constantly roaming. I’ve contacted Apple and they wanted me to pay about 200$possibly more and they said it was a battery issue. Was wondering if there is anything cost efficient or that I can do myself to help my problem.

I’ve reset them,I’ve turn on automatic detection, I’ve tried to clean them aswell
