Charging a MacBook Pro w/out a wall-charger

Can I safely charge a 2018, 15-inch MacBook Pro using ANY USB-C charger (i.e. vehicle port, smaller wallet charger, portable power bank, etc.)? I am traveling and inadvertently left my wall charger.

I realize charging times may be slower, that I can plan around.

Finding out at the airport doesn't make for a great day.

Generally speaking you get so little from default-level charging devices like iPhone chargers that you probably will not even get by if you powered the device off and charged all night long. The default USZB charge level for 'dumb' chargers is 5 Volts at a typical 0.500 Amp -- far too little power.

Devices that can provide USB-C Power Delivery negotiate charge levels up to around 20 Volts, and can deliver up to 100 watts power (close to 5.000 Amps.)
