Does anyone know what cable I need to connect a late 2012 Mac mini to a 30" Cinema Display? Theres an HDMI port and a Thunderbolt port so I've used a HDMI to female DVI cable to plug into the Cinema Display! It works but only getting a max resolution of 1280 x 800 so everything is massive on the screen! It works fine on my 23" Cinema Display!

You can find several USB-C to dual-link DVI adapters on Amazon. It may take some double-checking of product descriptions to make sure you don't get a single-link one – Amazon's search function doesn't seem to weed out all of the bad matches.

The dual-link adapters I saw ran about $40.99 to $87.11. If you see an adapter for under $20, that is probably a single-link adapter that got included in the search results by mistake.
Hi, fraser124, you’re halfway there… you’d need an HDMI to female Dual Link DVI active cable…. or you could do Thunderbolt to Dual Link DVI….

Would this do it? There are so many of these types of cable and vary a lot in price so I want to make sure I get the right one.....Is there an icon on the DVI connector that tells me its Dual Link?
