Notifications for new emails on Apple Watch, the emails are then deleted on iPhone (Outlook)

Hello, I have had this issue for a while and the only work around is stopping notifications on my watch for Outlook.

When I get a notification on my watch for a new email within outlook, it automatically gets deleted and moved to the trash on my iPhone.

Any assistance would be great!

I did update my Gmail app on my phone after upgrading to iOS 26. So here are the things I know I checked: Do not Disturb mode -- OFF (also not in Airplane Mode or Cinema mode) Notifications on in iPhone Settings > Notifications > Gmail ON // Settings > Notifications > Mail (allow notifications ON // Watch > Notifications > Mail (custom, NOT mirroring iPhone --allow notifications ON, Gmail On, Primary On) // Watch > Mirror iPhone Alerts from Gmail = ON Wrist Detection: ON My Gmail settings allow notifications, and I have badges on but sound off. I've always had sound off -- I just want haptics when I get a new email in my primary inbox Sounds & Haptics: Play in Silent Mode (iPhone setting) Watch Sounds & Haptics: silent mode was off. Turned on just to test it -- still don't get haptic alert with new Gmail. Watch Sounds & Haptics: haptics are "default" and not "off." I think that covers what I've checked in all of my settings. Mail Notifications not displaying on watch Hi I have an apple watch "Ultra" with cell phone service enabled. I have an Iphone 13 pro Max I am trying to figure out how to get the watch to display email notifications from the apple mail app. No matter what I do or try I cannot get it to work. If I use the MSFT outlook app it works fine BTW the two accounts I am most interested in is a gmail account and one old fashioned POP account all configured in the apple mail app this is how my phone and watch are configured... any suggestions would be welcome!!! thanks gary

The Watch app does not show any configuration or actions for Outlook. The only option is Notifications On/Off. There are more iPhone options for Outlook itself, but nothing that looks promising to solve your problem.

I think your best plan is to check you have the latest software versions on both your iPhone and the Apple Watch.

If the software looks good, restart both your iPhone and the Apple Watch. They are both computers so hope for the magic powers of a reboot. If it still doesn't work you could try removing the Outlook app and reinstalling.
