AirPods 2nd generation mic not clear

My AirPod finally died out after years of not being able to use it for calls because the mic on both side didn’t work shortly after buying them. Tried to get support from apple but they just made up an excuse of liquid damage. This is how I somewhat fixed the issue. Under a powerful magnifying glass I used a needle to poke out the glue that had leached out and into the area of the microphone and completely covered it. After removing the manufacturing adhesive the mic started working but the sound was never really clear while on a call. You can see in the pic reminiscence of the glue still covering the area of the mic. Does anyone have a better suggestion of removing the manufacturing adhesive from the area of the mic that was more than like caused by incorrect sowftware/firmware values at the same time period apple was looking for an airpod engineer.
