Resetting network settings was for me the fix (disconnects on Hyundai Ioniq 5 wired carplay connection): go to Settings \ General \ Transfer or Reset iPhone \ Reset \ Reset Network Settings.

Be sure to also remove the car in the Carplay menu (Settings \ General \ Carplay) and when you add it again, check if the slider is activated for 'Allow CarPlay While Locked).

Also be sure that in Screen Time (Settings \ Screen Time \ Content & Privacy Restrictions) the content & privacy restrictions slider is activated and that Carplay an allowed app is.

I too have been experiencing this issue which has escalated and actually gotten worse!!!! I've upgraded my cable to the Anker USB-C to USB-C cable which doesn't help Car Play just disconnects almost every call!!! I run 2 device and my secondary device is an Android which their version Android Auto work flawlessly. Now my iPhone is my primary device and iOS and OSX is my primary operating systems. But come on let's get this fixed...

I travel extensively on business, constantly in and out of rental cars. Whether wired OR wireless my connection is usually interrupted ONLY during a phone call ON ALL VEHICLES I DRIVE. This issue is happening on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Has been an issue since day one. Phone was replaced after three months and the problem persists. Brought in for diagnostic and they replaced the gut of the phone. Got in the car with a brand new device and connected to my car. First call of the new unrestored device resulted in a disconnection, same problem. My IT department rested my profile to use corporate mail and now apple is saying it could be the profile. they have pulled logs and told me that I have to remove the profile to move forward. Even though it happened with no profile before my restore. I am told others are having this issue. After upgrading to 17.4 by usb (as I was instructed to do by support) the problem persists. I have grown less patient and far more frustrated as phone calls and CarPlay is a safety replaced issue and I cant get any satisfaction.

Rented a Ford Edge 2022

same crap, random disconnections, CarPlay is a major, major fail.

if I was to consider any newer car it would have to be able to disable CarPlay if it had it, and use just Bluetooth. This is an obvious coder fail at Apple. Before one of the forum dweebs decides to tell me to file at Apple, yes I know, we share here for others to find.

I was having an issue with volume on my Spotify during CarPlay. When a text or call would come through afterwards my volume would be lower but left at same volume in vehicle. I was told by apple support to backup and delete phone and then sign back in as a new phone and it fixed that issue to some extent. Now I am having the same issue sometimes driving my CarPlay disconnects for a few seconds and reconnects. No lighting cord issue or problem with my CarPlay. APPLE THESE ISSUES ARE Ridiculous FOR AN OVER THOUSAND DOLLAR IPHONE 14 PRO MAX(which of course I purchased it and the 15 comes out right after) get it fixed I’m not spending hours on your support messages or call to figure out your problems get it fixed!!!!!!!!!!!’nnn
