Apple Watch 7: Can’t add card to wallet because I can activate or do anything with passcode

Entered a passcode while setting watch up. I cannot add cards to wallet because I cannot now use passcode. Can’t switch it on/off/change nothing. Have reset 3 times so far and am at a complete loss now.

I am using Apple watch series 9. I am trying to add cards to my wallet. It keeps popping up a message that says passcode is needed for Apple Pay. But I already set up a passcode. I am also using the latest versions of IOS and watchOs. I finished setting up my apple watch series 9. I added a passcode, a short one. It’s also paired with my iphone 15. Both the watch and the phone use the latest IOS and watchOS. I was trying to add cards to my wallet, but it keeps popping up a message that says Apple Pay needs a passcode. I already have a passcode. It’s also weird that the watch is not locking up when I am not wearing it. Wrist detection is on. Please, can someone enlighten me?

Passcode options greyed out on Apple Watch SE I am trying to set up my Apple Wallet on my Apple Watch but it says it requires a passcode. I believe I did create a passcode when I was setting up my watch but now when I open settings all the options to turn the passcode on or change it are greyed out. How can I solve that?

In your iPhone turn off Screen Time, or at least change the Content Restrictions for Passcode Changes to "Allow".
