Sidecar broken w/ Ventura 13.4.1 & iPad OS 16.5.1(c)

Like other people complaining about Sidebar being nerfed I too cannot share my keyboard and mouse connected to my MacBook with my iPad. I can use my iPad as an extended display however which is weird. I know Apple doesn't read these things and the only solution is to wait until someone at Apple has this same problem and they fix it but I am still shouting against a brick wall like everyone else.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12

Hello spencerthayer,

If you're experiencing an issues with any aspect of Sidecar there are a few steps you can try for improved performance.

Once you have both of these checked off, try these steps and test to see if you can control the keyboard and mouse using Sidecar after each step.

  1. Restart both your MacBook Pro and iPad.
  2. Toggle Handoff off and back on for both devices following the guidance outlined in Use Handoff to continue tasks on your other devices - Apple Support
  3. Toggle Bluetooth off and back on for both devices.
  4. Restart your Wi-Fi router and modem.

If you continue to have issues after checking these steps, reach out to Apple directly for guidance. They'll be the experts when it comes to guidance for these types of issues. You can connect from the Get Support portal in most countries.
