Even on the brightest setting, it is so dark at night i cant read anything. Getting very close to just returning it. This isnt acceptable if i can only comfortably use this watch in good light. How is this an issue in 2023????
I was shocked i couldn’t manually crank up the brightness if i wanted. Literally every modern device allows this except this one device. Steve Jobs would throw a fit if he saw this.

I've got the same problem. the automtic brightness control dims my series 9 when there is no ambient light so low that i can't read it anymore. As soon as i e.g. point a flashlight at the watch it turns brightness up and i can read it.
This is unacceptable. There are plenty of persons with this problem.
Please provide a setting to control brightness in dark environment!

My 7 was great no issues. The 9 I hate the auto dim it's the worst. I sold my 7 so I'm stuck I wouldn't have bought it

It is truly an awful device. Impossible to see at night. For the cost this is absurd. Not to mention the battery life. I get maybe 9 hours. Garbage.
No such setting on my watch.
I keep my watch on theater mode, which I do like to silence at the office. I'll only use 20% of my battery throughout the day.
I have looked at every post here. My watch simply does not have the minimum brightness option.
It’s not a setting on the watch, it’s in the accessibility options on the watch iPhone app.
I appreciate that you are trying to help. But there is no minimum brightness setting in accessibility. I have the 9. Maybe it is different.
Apologies if you’ve already said this but have you updated the watch? Should be version 4.5. I have the series 9 as well.
Yes, I had to update in order to set it up ten days ago.
