Fitness Activity Rings gone crazy

Hi, my activity rings have gone crazy. After a relatively normal day in which I’d have done about an hour’s exercise and about 3000kj, it suddenly says I’ve done 867 minutes of exercise but only used 536 kj. I’ve turned the phone and the watch off and on, but the issue persists. It has also mucked up my stats with an absurd exercise record award that I’ll never be able to beat. How do I fix this and correct the erroneous data? Thanks.

That is an impressive exercise total, nearly 15 hours but you did it with no real effort 😀

This should be easy to fix. Fortunately you know which dates to target. Start in the Health app on your iPhone.

Health > Browse > Activity > (Scroll to find the category with wild numbers)

Tap to open the target category, and scroll almost to the bottom of the screen.

Tap to select Show All Data and then select the suspect date

You should now see a list of entries from the source devices. There is a good chance there will be just one or two with really silly numbers, Swipe Left to delete individual lines.

It would probably also be a good idea to check the entries and priority for source devices.

Thanks so much. I appreciate the advice. I’ve done that and it removes the data in the Health app, although unfortunately the erroneous figures still exists in the Fitness app, skewing the trends and awards etc. which won’t ever now realistically be beatable. I can’t find any way to fix that, which is a shame. Any advice welcome. Otherwise, many thanks again.
