I changed my yahoo password and when I try to log in under "Accounts" I get a message that authentication failed, please try again later." Nothing seems to be working. I tried changing password again. I am able to get yahoo mail on my iPhone but not on my Mac laptop for 2 weeks now. Would deleting and adding the Yahoo account to Mail do anything? Thanks.

Mac's Mail App is not as modern as iOS's Mail app, Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password different from your eMail password…

If an IMAP account it may require removing the account, then setting it up using the "Other" button instead of Yahoo.

Also am I turning off the account or clicking remove from all? when I try the one time password it this account exists already
When you say delete, did you delete from icloud keychain or just remove? Thanks for the help so far
Okay thank you, I've done all of the above so I'm just going to have to accept that I cannot access yahoo via my mac at the moment!
Have you tried logging into Yahoo.com either in a private window or a browser that neverwas used yp login to Yahoo?
No I haven't I will try this now thank you, how will this help with logging in via the mail app? Slightly confused!
It's always good to have a good backup & a working Clone, but Yahoo & iCloud I don't see much connection.
Ugh - I have tried all of the steps and nothing. When I try to get an app password I get an error message saying "Sorry, this feature is not available right now"
Same for me, running out of options now. So frustrating. I may take a trip to the Apple store to see if they can help
