We have reseted it and Apple checked and nothing seems wrong. I suspect that perhaps the prosessor is defective.Battery is 97% it is the original one. 12.5.7 is the latest update. Any of you is having this issue ???

You definitely have an issue with your battery. Batteries deplete at a rate of about 1% a month. The iPhone 6 was discontinued 7 years ago, your battery health should be well below 70%. The fact that it reads 97% is a clear indication that something is faulty.
if it's worth it to you, I would look at replacing the battery. It doesn't have the capacity anymore to run the phone properly. This is quite possibly the reason for it locking up.

I've already explained why. An iPhone Battery will deplete at a rate of approximately 1% month. A seven year old battery will not have a health rating on 97%. There is a defect in the battery. Most likely, the health of the battery is will below the 80% mark which is the limit that Apple deems the battery needs replacing.
You have one of two options, replace the battery or get a new phone.
Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.
You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone.
Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

Ok, I am very happy as the problem diapered !!!!! It did not have anything with the battery as previously suggested.It fixed itself when I changed the length of the Auto-Lock. Their must be a glitch in the software!! I am beeing able to use it whiteout any problem !!!! Thanks anyway to all that tried to help !!!!!

Do your Part: Report this issue to Apple. This is something they should be made aware of. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what fixes to include in updates to come.

If 97% is simply the current charge from the top right corner of the screen, instead tell us what the Maximum Capacity % is here:
Settings > Battery > Battery Health

Thank you so much, in the past I rerly used the phone. I now need a bigger screen. How come the reding of the 97 % could be wrong??? Is it a reason to assume that the problem is the battery??? I need to be reasonable sure as it may not be worth to not spend on it??? If I try to have the phone conected via the charger
, would that be a good test to see if the battery is the problem????
