This message has been showing a lot lately when I wake up my Mac Mini in the morning. The disc was not ejected, but I get the message. Never happened before changing the OS to Ventura. Also have a problem with my Family Tree Maker Application since getting Ventura.

Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:
(Applies to Intel Based Macs Only): If plugged in devices keep getting ejected, then reset your SMC and your NVRAM. Sometimes changes (i.e. updates) are made to the system and then settings (i.e. ports) become corrupted, technically. So, reset both on your Mac. So, reset the SMC and reset the NVRAM or PRAM. Then, try connecting once more. It might take three tries. to fix this. So, be certain you have the time to do so.

Sleep is unnecessary for later Macs and should be disabled. Shut for long absences and idle overnights (i.e. do not manual-sleep), and for regular operation, use the settings exactly as shown here Wake up a remote Mac mini - Apple Community, should fix.
Sleep causing issues for many. Do not use sleep. Just have display turn off.
Are there external drives connected?
You can use Drive DX to possibly get a better view of Drive health…

It may be wise to run SMART Utility to check the drives' health.
I have a Buffalo external hard drive.
Likely the problem. possibly the cabling, but can't tell what, did you run either of those tools on it?
