Kicking (or switching) out family organizer

I’m in a family of 6 on apple and we have 1 shared subscription of apple music. We don’t speak to the family organizer any more, but we’d like to not have them control everything, so is there anything we can do? If we leave and create a new family, will we lose our Apple Music playlists/library even if we get a new subscription?

Hi kzuyua,

You will need to leave the family group and create a new one, as there is not a way to remove the family organizer on your end. There is a chance you will lose your Apple Music playlists and library in the process. There is further information about what to expect when you leave a family group in this article as well:
