Refund for un- used balance from Apple ID

We have added the fund in Apple id for Developer account subscription renewal and followed the same procedure as we followed during last subscription renewal. However subscription renewal policy is change by apple for our region ( India) in current year. As per the new policy only UPI payment is available for the subscription renewal.

We have contacted developer team as well as product support team (itune) for reversal of amount. The support person has advised that the Apple developer team is the only team who can help to resolve this issue. Itune support team informed that they are product team and not related to Developer subscription.

However developer team is responded as - "Store credit is the realm of iTunes support."

We have once again contacted Itune support team and it was informed that the amount cannot be reversed, or utilized for gift card, developer subscription renewal etc. Balance in apple id can only be used for app subscription.

Since this is a company account this fund cannot be utilized for any other purchases.

Kindly advise how this fund can be refunded.

Balance in apple id can only be used for app subscription.

We are already aware that "Balance in apple id can only be used for app subscription" however we want to highlight that the fund is added by following the same process that we followed last year for Developer subscription renewal.

As we are not aware about change of payment policy and there was no intimation/communication/guideline from apple regarding this change. This is also confirmed by Apple support team that there is policy change and lot many customers are facing this issue.

Since this issue is a major one and impacting lot many customers kindly arrange to provide solution for this issue.
