Problem with downloading and updating apps.

Last year I owed Instagram 8€ for a AD for my business. After a month or two i couldn't download or update any apps because of a message "there is a billing problem with a previous purchase", I paid the money I owed to Instagram and still nothing worked, I changed the payment method and got a new card in my bank and still nothing, the same message appears.

I checked the payment history and I didn't owe anything from all my purchases.

How do I fix this?

Most of my apps are out of date and I can't use them anymore.

We are all Apple users, like yourself, in the Community, so no-one here has access to your accounts or details to check this out for you. We'd like to help however.


You may need to ask your card-provider to allow payments to Apple again.


Apple support has articles online that may or may not be helpful:

If a message says 'billing problem with previous purchase' or 'verification required' - Apple Support


If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

Billing and Subscriptions Support have a website online (info. / support / contact)

You may want to reach out to them for help to resolve the issue (online chat, phone, email etc.).

There is a "Get Support - start now" link at the bottom of their welcome page (link below):
