Heart rate alerts
Is it possible that during exercise my Apple Watch could alarm if my heart rate rises too high?

The current software only supports alarm for high heart rate while the wearer seems to be inactive. Exercise is expected to increase the rate and would not trigger an alert.

If heart rate alerts on your Apple Watch are configured correctly (start with the default settings), AND you are wearing it with correct fit on your wrist it is unlikely you will get false alerts for heart rate.
However, be aware that in vigorous exercise with arm movements the watch might generate incorrect (usually high) counts of heart rate if the watch band is too loose, or the watch is able to move too much on your wrist.
Yes but it would be so useful to know if you had gone over your max recommended heart rate . I had a heart attack and have been advised not to go over a certain number whilst exercising. I don’t understand why Apple don’t do this I think another fitness trackers do .
I want it to alarm if I go above my max recommended heart rate so I can slow down . Is this possible ?
