No eSIM in my iPhone 14 pro

I bought a Lyca eSIM, tried installing it in my device but it turns out there is no esim option in my phone.

I go to settings--> mobile data--> there is just one nano sim option. there is nothing about an esim as compared to my friends who have both nano sim and esim in the mobile data settings.

I am quite frustrated with the whole ordeal. What's worse is that the person I contacted on support had no clue and Lyca wants a Lyca number for a callback. Amazing.

I tried everything on the internet. Yes, my phone is unlocked. Yes, my phone has an EID.
