Apple usb keyboard still not working with Ventura

Building on the previous advise.

Yes, I use this specific Adapter for connecting older USB-A USB Drives connecting to M2 Apple Silicon computers with USB-C female sockets

Works well and hopefully for the keyboard

FWIW, an Apple A1243 keyboard is not a third-party keyboard.

There are no drivers to install, it is supposed to just work. I suspect there might be some physical issue, perhaps with the adapter or the keyboard cable. You have done a good job troubleshooting this so far, by testing different combinations. If you can, I’d suggest getting a different usb-c to usb-a adapter. It does not have to be from Apple. When I first got my mac with usb-c ports, I also got a box with 3 small adapters that was very inexpensive.

Unless, this maybe Unique to the Apple Silicon machine.

FYI Only - Used the same adapter with a USB-A Macally Keyboard on First Boot of the M1 Mac Mini under Big Sur - worked fine then

Have not had the chance or need to try it again under Ventura
