Mac Mini M1 macOS 11.4 Spanish ISO keyboard layout

Hello.

I got and setup my Mac Mini about 2 years ago (M1 chip, macOS 11.4 Big Sur), but I'm currently using it for learning/developing (I'm a long time Windows PC user). I start to notice an issue with the Spanish ISO keyboard layout where 2 specific keys are not recognized properly, in my case the upper left (º, ª, \) is swapped with the lower left (<, >). so far other keys seem to be OK. Also, the image of the keyboard layout on the setup window is wrong (i.e: the Ç should be between the ' and the enter keys in the middle row, and the enter key should be vertical, not horizontal).

Here is an example of how it should look.

I can't find any info about this specific issue, I wonder if anyone experienced something like this with international layouts.

Thanks.

Your machine thinks you have an ANSI keyboard instead of ISO.

Hello again.

As described in the link "https://m10lmac.blogspot ..." that you shared, I ran the command "sudo open ..." via the terminal and it fixed my keys, however the picture of the keyboard layout on the System Preferences window is still wrong. Anyways, at least now I can type normally.

Thanks for the quick help!!! :)
