Netflix in Apple TV error code (117) (AVT-ui187)

When trying to access the Netflix app I got an error code ATV-ui187. It says Account name or passcode is not correct. Try again. (117) (AVT-ui187).

A previous conversation on this issue was locked unresolved so I started a new one.

I have an old Apple TV (don't know the generation). I tried all suggested solutions I found in the internet, including Apple TV and router restart, refreshing my email address etc. No help.

Finally, I returned factory settings of my Apple TV and logged in.

Now my Netflix app works normally!

I wonder if the problem was in Netflix of Apple TV?
