carplay was working yesterday, but has now disappeared from my 2021 rav4 hybrid

has anyone else experienced this? is this a toyota issue or an apple issue?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

long story, short: after trying updating to the newest iOS, powering the phone off and on, unpairing the phone from the car, working with Apple support via chat, all to no avail because the phone and the car still couldn’t “see” each other - as a last ditch effort, I wondered if it was the cable, and it was! A new cable was the answer. 😊

Troubleshooting CarPlay:

A. Driver's Manual:

Read your driver's manual to find out more about syncing this.

B. Try being in Park:

For many, they must have their automobile in park to get this to all pair.

Are you on the latest iOS version? Settings > General > Software Update.

If yes, have you tried turning your phone off and back on?
