iPhone 14 pro max camera not focusing

I have the same issue and I’m sure there are thousands of us that are dealing with this nonsense and not seeking the fix. Koodoo’s to you for speaking up. I also have tried all the same offered solutions, nothing works. This is extremely frustrating as I got IPhone 14 max with the highest memory exactly for that - to shoot videos and take pictures. I have been sort of just dealing with it. I also have had iPhones since forever, this has to be the most disappointing buy yet. Honestly apple should reimburse us somehow offer an exchange or something. This is how you build a bad name for your self.

Did you ever resolve this? I'm in the same exact situation minus having gone thru the trouble of trying to contact them yet.

It's incredibly frustrating how most of the time I get a much better quality picture or video by opening the camera and taking a screen shot or screen recording. Then end result might be clear but the resolution ends up being less that the screen size after cropping out the UI from the view.

First time going for a Pro Max and borderline regretting it. The battery also was supposed to be great and I'm already having to plug it in before the day is over.. it used to last a few days. Now it only lasts that long if I don't touch it, but I use my phone.... anyway.. just wondering.

Bottom line is these iPhones are pure garbage compared to what they used to be. Glitchy software, faulty cameras that won’t focus and annoying green laser lines. My 12 Pro Max wasn’t the best either but it was certainly better and more reliable than the 14 Pro Max. These are not Apple products that Jobs was involved with and it shows!

i’m glad i’m not the only one. been having issues from when i first got the phone didn’t think anything of it. till i tried to take a close up picture of something and it wouldn’t focus at all. you have to move the phone back for it to focus. thanks apple:))

YES!! Me too! Since Jan 2024 - why 6 mod untik In on this forum ? Because I think it’s me messing it up!! But to see all the others having issues ? Well it’s not me being crazy it’s phone ! I had I phone 11 pro and I LOVED it - and switched back to Apple from pixel - which I got for the camera alone - now after reading all this I think I should go to Apple Store UGH . Also camera does all kinds of other whacky stuff it gets ‘stuck ‘n on

I have the same issue as all the rest in this chat about how the iphone 14 pro max won't focus. Is anyone aware of a class action suit on this issue given that the product was sold this way and likely misrepresented? There are groups who form on these things all the time.

I am dealing with the same exact issue. Never had anything like that with my previous iPhones. All these solutions offered have not been helpful at all. This is unacceptable and very frustrating.

Since last week my iphone 14 pro max main camera is not focusing properly who i can sole this problem.

I’m in the process of downgrading so. :) I’m considering the 13.

Same! Ever since the last update. The focus has been very blurry for any close up photos. Also, other apps using the cameras can not use the focus at all.

I’m equally frustrated. It happens after I’ve been shooting video for an hour or so. Lighting is blown out, won’t focus. Even after rebooting. It’s unreliable.

I’d have thought this issue would be solved by now since Apple is supposed to be this great company that markets this phone as a professional photography tool. I guess not.
