Can someone hack an iPhone physically?

I've recently dropped my iPhone, but it has been recovered (around an hour). I'm worried since someone has my phone physically, they can hack it and get all my account details. But before I've dropped it, it has been locked with Face ID and password.

So, can they bypass the Lock Screen without password/Face ID? Or can they plug in an external device to extract all details? Can they also access app that requires Face ID?

Sorry if my question seems silly, but as I do not have much knowledge on tech, I'm unsure what to do.

In principle, a very good hacker can do such a thing but Apple is reputable in making sure that its devices are practically protected from hacking. Apple's devices are not perfect. They are not really hacking-free but the measures applied by Apple and your compliance to the protection of your device will prevent any hacking successful.

They cannot. Nothing is 100% impossible but given that a few years ago even the FBI couldn't get into an iPhone after days and days of trying I think it extremely unlikely your finder managed to do so.
