Google Popup Signing Prompt - How stop it?

I, like many others, want to stop the Google signing popup that I get when I go to websites. I have read many responses to this question and none of them apply. For example, go to Google/Security/Signing in with Google (under signing to other sites). This option doesn't exist. I use DuckDuckGo extensions to block popups as well as Safari setting Block & Notify for all Pop up windows. Surely there has to be an answer, even if the answer is there isn't a way to stop these popups at this time.

Is Apple doing anything to help all its frustrated users to fix this issue? Really would like to get an absolutely definitive answer to this issue.

Thanks!

Apple has nothing to do with it. Refer to this recent Discussion.

Also, why do I keep getting a “sign into google” popup when I am using safari with duck- duck-go?

The reason is the website in question has been coded to ask you for it. Despite what some people claim this can occur whether or not you have — or have ever had — a Google account.

If you do have a Google account, read https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/12849458

Otherwise, register your complaint with the website developer or administrator or whoever is getting kickback revenue from Google for that annoyance.

Again, Apple has no ability to control or influence what Google does.

Complain to the hosting site, don't patronize it, boycott it, etc. Apple might not have any influence, but your 💰 does. Use it.

Now, for those who apparently have this problem and don't have a google account I don't know how they would resolve.

Hence my initial reply. I have no Google account, never had one, don't want one, don't plan to get one, therefore the only way to stop the nag is not to patronize those websites:

This finally gets rid of it, if the other options (Google account settings or Chrome disable pop-ups) don't work.

Did you read this part of that article?

If you block this feature, Chrome won’t show native prompts to sign in through your identity service, but the website you’re visiting or your identity service may still be able to show you similar prompts.

John, you are absolutely correct. Until your response and subsequently finding the "switch" to turn off in the google accounts, I couldn't find anything reliable. As the Block Sign in with Google URL you provided, these were the types of replies and information I found. No one had a real answer to the problem. It was after weeks of trying to figure it out that I finally posted on Apple Community. Personally, I am not a google fan although I still have 2 gmail accounts. I have changed everything else but still have to migrate my emails. I even use a duck.com email that pulls out trackers. Not a guy that has to worry about anything it is just principal with me. I want to be in control, as much as possible, of my personal information.

Again, thanks for your help. I have tested a few sites that require logon and the google prompt has not been showing its ugly face.

Response to : John Galt ; How do I turn off Google Sign-In Prompts? - Apple

Community

Hey John ,

I'm sorry that you found the replies unhelpful . Fortunately , the author had 97

" helpful " and the two folks who replied had 30 and 14 more " helpful " ! ✅

🤔 Are you still wondering why you haven't come across a single complaint about " Sign in with Apple " ? I've been using Apple products since 2003 . Most of the extras that you pay for today were included back then , and with much more liberty , not

" curated " or demand specific security protocols .

In the App Store I noticed that nearly all of the apps are " in-app purchases " and subscriptions these days . Your chargers & adapters will not be in the box with your

devices from now on , you will need to purchase them separately .

I guess you get the idea , I wish this were a more insightful response .
