severe aching, throbing stinging burning when touching my iphone

I am writing from my computer since the moment second I touch my Iphone my fingers fill like they are going to fall off. It started with me ordering joint medication and I even with to the doctors to see if I have arthritis but I am so young for that. Then it got worse, I noticed my phone was the main cause of the stinging then it all made since. As soon as I touch my Iphone, my fingers now sting at the tips like touching needles and are sore to the point that I want to put band-aids on. Every joint aches in my hands and fingers and my fingers are burnt.

I scheduled a call with the Apple store, Should I have to spend hundreds of dollars on a new phone? I mean I read articles before this post researching my pain and turns out i have been subjecting myself to extreme radiation with my symptoms and have a high chance of a brain tumor... Apple should put warnings of symptoms your phone went bad. It should have never got this bad...

It is the phone because the pain starts geting so intense now when touching it and is sore when not touching it...

Can I get a replacement? I love I phone but I need to another one..

I’ve also have the same feeling. You might be experiencing first stages of carpal tunnel. Try the tinnels test at your wrist. It’s aggravated by holding the phone. I’ve reduced my phone usage significantly and I still get it. I switched my phone and still have it. Also doesn’t help that the iPhone heats up so much that the nerve is irritated and super sensitive? Wrist exercises and breaks in between should help.

Hi Lacey, I'm noticing similar things with my iPhone 14. I use my right hand mostly with it and I've started noticing my thumb and my index finger start burning after touching the screen for a little while. After I stop they feel fine and then when I got back to my phone I start noticing it again. It hasn't gotten to the point that it's that uncomfortable yet, but it has made me think how this could become more of an issue over the course of the next year or two. Let me know if you've found anything that helps. It's made me think about getting some kind of finger protectors for using an iPhone.

Came here to find this thread. I’ve been experiencing the same exact thing for months. I’m an RN, and it has stumped both myself and my physician. I can’t hold or do any serious work on my phone if I’ve been holding it for several hours. I’ve spent tons on solutions like fingertip Band-Aids and all kinds of clinical products to avoid it but nothing helps. Have you found any kind of relief? Or answers?
