Is there a way to reprogram keys on the keyboard?
I'm using a third-party keyboard because the Apple keyboard doesn't have the number pad. But my keyboard does not have the "equals" sign (=) on the number pad. Only on the main part of the keyboard. It does have three keys above the number pad labeled with strange icons, which don't seem to do anything. And it has a "Clear" key, which I never use.
Is there a way to reprogram a key so it does something other than its original assignment? I know the OS can do this because I can select a foreign language which re-maps the keys differently. But I just want to remap one key so as to have an "equals" sign on the number pad.
Note: When using the calculator, the Enter key functions as an Equals key. But I want to be able to type an "=" sign into spreadsheets.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks.
