How to return to the iPad view on WSJ app?
For some reason, my WSJ app changed to an iPhone view on the iPad. I can’t figure out how to return to the iPad view?

I was very distressed and disappointed by the new WSJ app (version 14). I emailed WSJ customer support and also left a review in the Apple App store. Here are the responses that I received.

The developer response (WSJ product team) through the app store:
The update to our iPad layout is part of our broad and ongoing effort to create a more immersive platform and better showcase all of our great image, video, and graphics content. We hope you will find that the new layout strengthens the delivery of our content, and makes it easier to stay up to date with the latest news from WSJ.
I don't understand how "the new layout strengthens the delivery of our content".
Moderators keep deleting the contact information for WSJ Customer Service from my posts.
Completely useless. I just bought the thousand dollar iPad Pro so I could extract value from my WSJ subscription. I called customer service and voiced my displeasure with the latest update.
The WSJ app used to be a great app. Now it is horrible. You can’t find prior editions. The layout if awful. Not like reading a newspaper. Boring and awful
Agree!
I didn’t buy a 1200 dollar iPad Pro so I could read off this downgraded app.
PRECISELY. Make them understand. It’s the *ONLY* way to communicate with them. Call and cancel!
You are my hero. :)
Who will volunteer to be the “class representative”?
My take is that they need to hear from lots of folks. Point them to this thread and the reviews. Invite and encourage them to join the discussion. Then they would be engaging with their customers.
If you want a laugh, read the 2019 article that the WSJ’s tech writer penned touting the then-new WSJ iPad UX.
Scroll up through the thread. Someone posted contact a link to contact their entire leadership team.
I will be canceling my subscription because the new WSJ app is terrible.
Absolutely CLUELESS!! Also agree with you, those who report on businesses should guard themselves on how they treat their customers.
Same here. Such an arrogance from WSJ management to do so and sad for punishing their great journalists in doing so.
The WSJ iPad app was the best in the business and a model for what a news app should be. Now it feels generic and dumbed down, as annoying as all the other cut-rate readers.
