Pop up message with ""A critical software update is required for your Mac" comes up while updating MacBook Pro.

When I opened my laptop today it starred at me with a screen to connect to the wifi - then after it tried to do an update until finally giving me this message : a critical software update is required for your mac

I have a Touch Bar Mac Pro 2017.

I tried to update the software in safe mode as well. I’m lost

can anyone help?

when I restart the lights on the keyboard or the touchpad come on either in case that helps ?

Finally found an easy fix after not being able to use my mac pro for 3 months! As a designer that's pretty annoying, anyhow..... After a bit of digging and troubleshooting, I found out that in simple terms it's the update not communicating with the servers properly. So, how I managed to get around this was, I simply went into WIFI settings and forgot all my wifi network... restated and VOLIA, bypassed the screen asking for wifi and started with no problems. This fixed my issue.
