I can't seem to log into Apple ID on my new Mac, but it works on my old machine

Trying to activate appleID on new Mac. Password rejected (But it still works on older Mac)

It turned out to be cured by waiting 24 hours and trying again (on the new machine). This was suggested by Apple as a solution to a problem caused by too many failed login attempts. Thanks though.

Hi there Michaelesf,


If your password is rejected on one of your devices, but working on another, you'll want to start by making sure you don't have caps lock or any other keyboard features enabled that could be affecting the characters you're entering for the password.
