What version of iMovie is compatible with Monterey and where can I get it?
iMac 21" running Monterey 12.6.8. Where can I get iMovie compatible with this OSX?

6 November 2023, the latest version needs MacOs 13.4 is not compatible. Monterey version is older MacOs 12.7.1
Solution:
Check if you have an old version installed. Erase that from your computer. Than use the AppStore App and click below on your account. Then look for the Imovie icon (purchase). It will show you the cloud sign next to it.
Click it and you will get the dialog regarding older version. Hit download and wait. It will download 10.3.8 and it works.

I'm still bewildered, but I now have iMovie 10.3.8 on my late 2014 Mac Mini with Monterey 12.6.1. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough for it to install and I haven't tested the full functionality, but so far it looks good. Since you're slightly ahead of me on the OS I presume it will work for you too, Julian. Thanks to Phil0124 for the original answer; I can't even fathom the knowledge base required for a level ten but we sure appreciate you sharing it.

Yes, since I posted that answer back in August, the version has been updated and now requires iOS 13.4.
Things can change over time.

That may have been true in August 2023, but it's no longer true today (Dec 2023). Currently only the most recent update for iMovie is available and that requires a newer OS.

Hi, I just tried this and it didn't work.
A panel appears to say the OS needs to be 13 or more and mine is 12.7.2
I downloaded iMovie 10.3.8 and it works on my 2016 MBP running Monteray 12.7.2
iMovie wasn't on my purchase list, this solution is not right
