To save space, I attempted to delete and redownload the Notes app, but when I opened it again afterwards, there were no Notes at all. But the app took up 88GB of space on iPad and 102GB on my phone.

To save space, I attempted to delete and redownload the Notes app, presuming it was safe as I had previously had it on an iCloud account.

However, when I redownloaded it, all of my Notes and pictures were all gone. Previously I had about 190 or so and to save space I was trying to transfer them all to Google Docs.

In a bid to save space I attempted to delete the app and redownload it, as both my devices have Notes on an iCloud account rather than it being stored on the device.

But unfortunately when I re-opened it after being redownloaded, it just... didn't have anything in it. Like, no empty notes with empty space where the text/images used to be or anything. Just blank and when I redownloaded it on phone it even assumed I was a first-time user as the "Get Started with Notes" infobox popped up.

The strange thing is, when I opened my Settings to check my iPad and iPhone's storage, I was shocked to find that the Notes app still took up 88GB on my iPad and 102GB on my phone, which is massive.

How do I get these notes to show up again? Must I wait or should I go to the nearest Apple Store to get it sorted?

iPhone SE, 16
