i am not able to (re)activate AppleTV on smart TV. At activate.apple.com (from a PC), I get invalid code. The site doesn't seem to be connected to my account.

If you set up the Apple TV app on your smart TV, you might be redirected to activate.apple.com to create your Apple ID. You can also use the steps below to create your Apple ID on the web.
Once you have created your Apple ID account will all the required personal information, then you wouldn’t need to go through the activation again. So opt for the web account creation if it fails through your Vizio TV and the activation site.
Verify that you provided for your account what is asked, including: Your name, a verified email address (respond to test message!), date of birth, country (+state for the US), and a valid payment method as issued in the same country. Subscription services require a pre-authorized payment method that supports automatic and periodical charges.

I had to sign up to watch it on my TV through my Chromecast and on my Roku directly through there although I did have to create an Apple ID as I have no Apple devices at all it was not a big deal to do that and then it was easy to get 3-month trial but you have to actually sign in and sign up for the once you do then you can just scan the QR code and it'll take you to your already made Apple ID and it'll be instant
Is there another way to get to "activate" portal? activate.apple.com is not working?
