iPhone 6S+ Battery Drain
I have a iPhone 6S+ that has a battery drain issue since I updated today to iOS 15.7.8. I know that after 5 years the iDevice becomes vintage. I have been replacing the battery myself every year when the capacity goes lower than 80%. The phone itself works fine however I come to realize that new versions of iOS are not optimized to work on older iPhones. I don't know if the same thing is happening on iPads.
Now I don't want to buy a new phone even when the support ends because I don't want to pollute the earth more than it already is and this battery issue aside all other functions still work fine after 8 years. Can this message be forwarded to Craig Federighi or the team responsible for iOS software updates? I would suggest that after the support ends that there has to be a last update to optimize older hardware so that people can use their iDevices as long as possible instead of upgrading every year.
If Apple really want users to fix their current products which they stated in the past they have to roll out proper updates.
PS: I already tried everything in the settings to try and fix the problem but that doesn't work at all. And when I restart the phone the percentage shown goes back up to when I stopped charging. It is clearly a software issue.
