The photo app on my Mac has stopped syncing with iCloud. I have 1.6 TB of storage available, I'm signed in on the same Apple ID on both the phone and Mac, the photos are showing up in iCloud when I go directly to the website but they are not syncing with the photos app on my laptop like they used to always do. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Check the status:
Open Photos
Go to library
Scroll to the bottom
You'll see the current picture/video count and the current iCloud status.
Check that iCloud is enabled on photos
Photos > Settings > icloud
And that the library is the system library
Photos > Settings > General
If nothing else, try restarting the Mac
