iPhone 2nd Gen Frozen

I have an IPhone SE 2nd that the screen is frozen. I’ve tried letting it sit, and hard restarting it twice but it won’t work. The side buttons and home button work but nothing on the screen is responding.

Follow these actions VERY CAREFULLY:

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.

This forced reset procedure is guaranteed to work if done correctly, unless the phone has a hardware problem.
