Upgrade from iPhoto
I'm getting the message that iPhoto isn't supported and that I need to upgrade to Photo. How do I do that?

If you open the Photos app it will automatically open and convert the last library you had opened with iPhoto and you'll end up with two libraries with the same name but different extensions: .photoslibrary and .migratedphotolibrary. They don't take up twice the space as they share the same space on the drive. Keep the .migratedphotolibrary library until your sure all of the photo and videos we migrated successfully. Then you can delete the .migratedphotolibrary library.
