Screen Rotation on bank ap

Is there an easier way to get the iPhone camera rotation feature to work when photographing checks in bank aps? I find it's only possible when I curse, scream, turn it on and off a few times, ignore my customers, miss lunch, scare my dog, twist my stapler in half, pop a Xanex, smash my fist into the filing cabinet and and throw the phone in the air a few times and let it drop on the desk.... but fortunately that seems to work though. "you can easily deposit a check by taking a photo with your phone".... Add to the long list of broken promises from the tech giants. :)
