OS 11.6 software updater spins and never loads
My Mac runs extremely slow and the software updater spins for hours and does not show the version update and never loads the update. My browser is out of date, but I cannot load updates.
I understand Software Update is "Checking for updates..." with no end in sight.
Several workarounds have been proposed, such as restarting your Mac in "Safe Mode" and checking for updates while in that mode, and / or resetting NVRAM. Try both.
