My iphone 14 gives a silence notification when I attemp to text someone, but my IPAD does not, why? how?

I message from both my IPhone and Ipad, both are logged into the same ICLOUD account. But my IPhone indicates a silence notification from someone, but the IPAD does not

We understand that your iMessage notification is silenced from a certain sender.


You can mute notifications per device. This may be enabled on your iPhone.


Mute notifications for a conversation


1. In the Messages list, touch and hold a conversation.
2. Tap Hide Alerts.


Change message notifications on iPhone - Apple Support
