iPhone 17 pro, messages come in quietly, if I happen to be looking at my screen I will see them but nothing else notifies me.
I have reset my phone and gone through all the suggested setup from apple, still no notifications. all these worked on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.. At my wits end...

I had an issue with no notification sounds for phone calls and messages after installing iOS26 on 2 iPhone 14s. I resolved on both phones by turning the ring/silent button from ring to silent and then back to ring.

I am getting silent ie No sound notifications for me messages and for WhatsApp messages and I was doing but it can come and go, I have looked at/checked every fix …silent button/focus button/going into each app/checking volume settings…. The list goes on and they are still silent, the only thing I can think of is of is erasing the phone and starting again… I’ve had the phone for 5 days…. Extremely frustrating…….
