I created a new apple I.D for my account.
I then had to delete and reset my ipad as I was selling it.
I now wish to install all my paid for apps onto my new device.
However, the app store is wanting me to pay for the already paid for apps!
How can I get access to an old account (if it still exists) if not have I lost all my apps and money that I paid for them?

Your Apple ID is the personal account you use with all Apple products and services. It includes the email address and password you use to sign in, as well as the contact, payment, and security details that you use with Apple.
You can’t merge multiple Apple ID accounts.
What happens when you use the same Apple ID & Password that you use to sign in here?

They cannot. Customers are in control of their Apple ID’s from their end only. Additionally Apple ID’s cannot be merged. Your only option is to regain access, if you can, to the old account then set up Family Share.
Can you still sign into the old Apple ID you used on that iPad?

Yes, reset or factory reset, is a big different.

I only get the apps that I use with my new account.
All my old account purchases are nowhere to be seen.
Maybe I should have thought about that before doing a factory reset!
